Is $3,000 to install a new fan coil unit a fair price?
Project Details
I was just wondering if this insulation layer is fiberglass which you can technically replace it and not asbestos. It was found in my 50-year-old condo within the fan coil unit, which is hot/cold water based. It seems to me to be fiberglass (yellow fluffy thing with a thin outer black coat) built in from the manufacturer. There is no duct going all around the unit, just this 6” duct. I was also wondering that this condo block has around 800 units, all with the same fan coil unit. It’s pretty much the same as the majority of the buildings in Ontario built in the 70s. I asked some other owners, and they didn’t have any clue. I'm looking for any thoughts on this.
