Is $3,342 to replace upstairs furnace control board and ECM fan motor a fair price?

Project Details

My upstairs vents have been circulating cold air constantly, even when the thermostat is off. When the furnace runs, hot air comes out, but the fan stays on 24/7 after it stops. I called the company I've used since 2021, but found out it was sold to a new company. The technician diagnosed the problem as a bad Daikan Control Board on the furnace, causing the fan to run continuously. He said stopping the fan call would disable heating and cooling upstairs. He also suggested replacing the fan motor along with the board to prevent it from shorting out. The furnace is a Daikan DM92SS Gas Furnace. I'm in North Texas. I'm willing to pay if the quote is fair, but it seems steep. I'm considering getting a second opinion or even attempting to swap the board myself. The technician was confident it was the board and took a video.
