Is $5,000 to replace AC coils a fair price?
Project Details
My AC system stopped getting cold a couple of days ago. I live in Las Vegas. I checked the circuit breaker in the main panel, which I installed in August 2023, and it's fine. I swapped 40 amp and 35 amp breakers, but they only turned on the fan. When I set a cold temperature, I hear a click at the AC, but no actual cooling noise. The fan works, and the fins are clean. I tried to look at the capacitor, but it was bolted down. From inside, it sounds like the unit is working, but it's not getting cold.
