Is $1,100 to replace a Lennox iComfort Wifi thermostat a fair price?

My furnace is Lennox Signature SLP98-070 and my air conditioner is Lennox Elite XC-14, both installed in 2015. My Lennox iComfort Wifi thermostat has stopped responding to touch and has a black screen. I am contemplating whether to go with the pricier S40 communicating thermostat or a conventional one like Ecobee. I am also concerned that the HVAC company that provided the quote is not listed on the Lennox Residential Dealers website, and I am unsure about warranty implications.
