Is $9,000 to replace a flue liner a fair price?

I recently bought the house and am doing some inspections before winter. It has an open wood/gas fireplace that is functional, but the flue liner looks like it has warped inward and now has a gap. I am wondering if there is a safe way to repair this or if it will need a full replacement.
