Is $1,100 to swap out the fan motor a fair price?
Project Details
My AC condenser fan was not spinning, causing my AC to not work. I initially tried replacing the capacitor myself, but the issue persisted. An HVAC tech diagnosed the problem as a dead fan motor. I decided to replace the motor myself. After installing the new motor, it would spin intermittently before stopping. I later discovered I had accidentally swapped the capacitor wiring, and after correcting it, the AC is now working perfectly.
