Is $950 to replace a condenser fan motor a fair price?

I had a noisy condenser fan motor. A professional came to take a look and said the fan motor was running in reverse. He recommended replacing the motor because it was already 10 years old. I decided to replace the motor myself after finding a cheaper one online and watching YouTube tutorials. I successfully replaced the old motor and capacitor, and the noise is gone, but it was still running in reverse until I swapped the yellow and purple wires on the capacitor, which corrected the direction.
