Is $25,000 to replace all ductwork a fair price?
Project Details
I am under contract for a house built in 2005, which is 4200 sq ft. It has original HVAC and roof, which I was expecting to replace in the next couple of years. During the inspection, we found condensation and visible mold in the crawl space. I know the house wasn't maintained in the last few years, and we only discovered these issues during the inspection. I now have the chance to walk away from the contract or ask for a closing credit. I'm trying to determine the realistic odds of needing to replace all of the ductwork.
