Is $1,800 to replace the ecm blower motor and module a fair price?

I have a ECM blower motor that has a bad module. HVAC tech came out and confirmed the module was bad and the blower motor its self was ok but he won’t replace just the module. I don’t have $1800 unfortunately. I found a replacement module online all the numbers are the same except the Program number. I already have the blower assembly out and the cap off of the motor.
