Is $3,000 to change out blower motor a fair price?
Project Details
My Goodman GPG1430060M41AB unit's blower motor went out. I called an HVAC tech for confirmation. I am very mechanically inclined and have already removed the blower motor, fan wheel, and housing. The motor part number is 0131g00011, and Granger says the part is programmed. I'm having trouble finding the exact model available to buy anywhere, as it's out of stock or the model number isn't correct on sites I've found. I would have paid $750 for the job, as the part is about $200-300 and it only took me 45 minutes to remove it. I believe the motor is 1050 RPM.
