Is $26,000 to encapsulate crawlspace, install dehumidifier, and more a fair price?
Project Details
I live in Atlanta, which is very humid. My house was built in 1992. When I bought it three years ago, the crawlspace only had a plastic vapor barrier, and there were no humidity issues. Since then, I've had a new furnace and a new AC installed (last November). Recently, an HVAC technician noted high humidity and a sweating AC in the crawlspace. I'm concerned I might have caused a mold issue by not running my indoor dehumidifier this summer, as my new AC unit has been over-air conditioning to manage humidity.
