Is $13,000 to replace the entire furnace a fair price?

Project Details

I am a new homeowner. My furnace is fairly old, a Lennox model 5909M24640, and appears to be 12-15 years old. The previous homeowners did little to maintain it. A specialist inspected it and found several O-rings were worn out (possibly cracked) and an orange flame indicating incomplete combustion. They spent little time on the issue itself but a lot of time on payment options. I'm looking for possible solutions that would fix the combustion without total replacement, and I'm concerned about a cracked heat exchanger.
