Is $8,000 to install a Fujitsu 24k BTU mini split a fair price?

I am wanting to put a mini split in my attached garage. It is 750 sq ft two car with about 12 foot ceilings and insulated walls with no drywall, one small window and exterior door. I am mainly looking to regulate the heat so it is comfortable during workouts and doing car maintenance. A/C in the summer is just a bonus. Google is saying I will need 18-24k BTU unit. I am off base thinking these quotes are super high? From what I am seeing the 24K system can be ordered for around $2k. I am sure there are other factors to consider that I am not aware of. What am I missing here with these quotes? I have no issue paying for a premium product that has premium performance.
