replace an air handler with a variable speed model
California

Is $15,000 to replace an air handler with a variable speed model a fair price?

Project Details

We have an air handler located right next to the air return vent, and it's extremely noisy. I suggested using dampers and soundproof foam, but the professional advised against it, stating it would negatively impact airflow and potentially risk the unit. I am currently in Los Angeles and seeking recommendations for a competent vendor.

Quote Details

This quote is for replacing an existing air handler with a new variable speed model. The professional indicated this was the only viable option to resolve a noisy air return vent issue. The homeowner noted that they would require three such units. - Type of unit: Variable speed air handler- Scope: Replacement of existing air handler- Purpose: To address noisy air return vent
