Is $400 to perform AC maintenance a fair price?

I was happy that the technician came at 10:30 PM because he was at another job, which was very nice of him as I didn't want to sleep another night without AC and was about to go to a hotel. I was also afraid of him taking advantage and upcharging me because I'm a girl, I was alone, and I look young, but thankfully that wasn't the case. I try not to DIY things when it comes to big machines like this because I know I'll find a way to electrocute myself or start a fire.
