Is $3,700 to replace an indoor evaporator coil a fair price?

I have a 2-ton HVAC unit that is almost 10 years old. I was quoted $3700 for just the evaporator coil part, which seems high to me based on my online research. I'm in Canada and looking for opinions on this cost. The manufacturer is refusing the parts warranty due to a lack of maintenance, but the labor portion of the warranty is being honored, so there's no labor charge.
