Is $500 to install a new pressure switch a fair price?
Project Details
I have been experiencing ongoing problems with my system for two years in my new build house. The installer has made over 10 visits, finding issues with the original installation, but the problems persisted. They now claim it's due to a defective pressure switch, which a technician bypassed without my permission about a month ago. I've been in discussions with a manager because I believe this was the root cause for the past two years, and I feel I shouldn't be charged for this fix given the history of unresolved issues and poor communication from the company. Previous issues included the refrigerant not being filled during the initial install, a missing part from the inside unit, and two cleanings of the outside unit. Another technician even suggested the wrong unit was installed. I've had no problems since the switch was bypassed, and I'm considering going to a different company before paying them anything.
