Is $2,000 to replace capacitor, contactor, and clean AC unit a fair price?
Project Details
My AC went out a few weeks ago. A technician came out and suggested the capacitor was part of the issue. I found the quoted price for the repair to be high, so I attempted to replace the capacitor myself. However, the AC is still not running, and I'm unsure if I wired something incorrectly or if there's another issue like the motor. I've since tried a different contactor and believe the previous one might not have matched exactly.
