Is $16,800 to install a Bosch IDS Premium Connected heat pump system a fair price?
Project Details
My 31-year-old Rheem 2-ton unit is losing R22 Freon in about 4-6 weeks. The unit was icing up last week, and the company who filled it in May added another couple of pounds back to get me going until I can replace it. I have a leak in the evaporator coil. I have oil heating, and one of the selling points is having a heat pump become the primary heating source unless the outdoor temps drop, in which case they will work together. I'm going to miss my Nest thermostat. I will be getting another quote but wanted to see what others received.
