Is $2,000 to replace ECM motor/fan in a furnace a fair price?

Project Details

I had a contractor quote us $2000 for a new ECM motor/fan in our furnace. I'm questioning if it's better to replace the whole furnace at that price. The contractor suggested that melted ice from the condenser coils might be causing the issue and could have damaged the electronics, leading to the need for a new furnace. I'm seeking advice on whether his recommendation makes sense, or if I should just replace the ECM fan.
