Is $6,000 to encapsulate a crawlspace a fair price?
Project Details
My home is located in Tennessee Zone 7, and we've experienced rough short spells of temperatures in the teens during past winters. My HVAC ducts are in my attic. My crawlspace recently flooded, and I'm looking into encapsulation to prevent future flooding. The company told me I don't need insulation reinstalled in between floor joists. I'm wondering if I should still hang insulation or if a dehumidifier will help with temperature regulation, especially since my ductwork is in the attic and I can't vent from it.
