Is $12,500 to improve attic airflow, remove old insulation, treat for growth, and install new insulation a fair price?
Project Details
I'm looking for a sanity check on a quote I received for my attic. I bought my house in 2019, and recently found wet books in the attic, which suggests a moisture problem. The company claims my house lacks sufficient airflow because it was built without soffits, relying only on gable and roof vents. They proposed a solution, but I'm unsure if their diagnosis is accurate or if the $12.5k quote is reasonable, as I don't know much about houses or insulation.
