Is $9,500 to remove old insulation, air seal, and install blown-in insulation a fair price?
Project Details
I had scheduled the removal of old insulation, air sealing, and blown-in insulation for today, having booked it over a month ago. A dumpster was dropped off this morning. However, the crew called to say they had battery problems with their truck, which would turn it into a 2-day job. I expressed that I did not want a 2-day job. They proposed rescheduling for 5 days from now, leaving the dumpster in my driveway, and offering a $200 discount for the inconvenience. I feel that $200 is insufficient for the inconvenience. I'm curious what others think would be a fair discount, and if I should request the dumpster to be picked up and brought back. I understand things happen in all professions and want to ensure they are still profiting while finding an appropriate solution for both parties.
