Is $450 to blow in insulation to R49 in attic a fair price?
Project Details
I installed ceiling fan brackets and noticed very little and spotty insulation in my attic. An inspector confirmed that the insulation barely reaches the 2x6s, about 5-6 inches in the middle, and even less towards the edges. I'm curious about air sealing and whether it's an issue that the company isn't doing it, as it's not in the quote. The quote is very low after a utility rebate, so I'm wondering if I should worry about the lack of air sealing or if I should ask them to do it while they are in the attic.
