Is $1,500 to spray foam insulation for rim joists in crawlspace a fair price?
Project Details
My house was built in '72 in the mid-west. Our basement is split, half-finished, half-raise crawlspace. In the winter, the crawl is about 200 cooler than the finished basement, and I really notice it on the floor above the crawl, which is the kitchen/family room/dining room. The un-insulated ducts that run through there for those rooms also take extra time to warm up in the winter. I've insulated any holes I found, but I think I should do the rim joist as well. I'm handy, but I've never used one of these DIY spray foam systems before, only the cans.
