Is $1,000 to replace backsplash a fair price?

I'm about to sell my small kitchen home. I can't do cabinets and countertop as it won't get enough ROI. I felt like we just updated the kitchen a few years ago but when I thought about it more closely - that was 2013! I can't believe it's been over 10 years. I feel like it's the backsplash that really irks me so I thought it might be worth taking it out, but it sounds like enough people agree that it isn't worth it. I thought for $1k it might be worth doing but it sounds like the votes are in. I think it's clean enough to pass. No kids always helps, leading to less food splatters and spills. The paint was some mid-grade Behr. I love a fresh caulk line!
