Is $53,200 to extensive masonry repair to rowhouse stoop stairs and landings a fair price?
Project Details
I rarely hire contractors and usually do everything myself, especially interiors. This project is beyond my capabilities, and I lack pricing context. I've received other much lower quotes, but I believe they didn't fully account for the difficulties. I also have a contractor I've used before who is good at job analysis, but I don't trust his crew's execution. I'm evaluating if this $53k price is reasonable for a NYC area job. I'm also considering the cost of bluestone versus sandstone, though it seems to be a small fraction of the total price.
