Is $1,250 to repair water damage and mold from chimney leak (excluding paint) a fair price?

Project Details

I usually go with the first quote, especially if I'm referred and they can do the job when I need it. I have zero idea if this is a fair quote but I hope and assume so, since I really like this local guy. I had clear water damage and some mold from my chimney, which I got fixed.

Quote Details

Repair a roof leak around the chimney

This quote is for repairing a roof leak around the chimney area. The issue is believed to be caused by faulty step flashing. - Repair Area: Around the chimney corners - Existing Damage: Water getting inside the attic, some wood rot - Proposed Cause: Step flashing issue - Included Work: Replacement of new shingles, wood, and step flashing in the affected area - Alternative Theory (Homeowner's Note): One roofer suggested water could be coming through corner boards of the siding, but I do not believe this is the case as other homes in the neighborhood are similar.
