Is $3,200 to install termite prevention stakes a fair price?
Project Details
I am a resident in east Texas. About two months ago, my pest control company offered a free termite inspection, which I accepted. The inspector told me I don't appear to have termites, but a neighbor a few doors down does, so preventative measures are recommended for my home. This is surprising because my home was the first built in the neighborhood roughly 4 years ago, and the builder stated that due to state law, the soil was treated for termites before sale, with the treatment lasting about 5 years. I find the quoted price quite steep and am considering if I could purchase and install these stakes myself, as I'm not afraid to do the work.
