Is $6,000 to repair a broken concrete driveway a fair price?
Project Details
My .15 mile long driveway was significantly broken in several places by a concrete truck that drove down it during a pool installation. My husband had discussed with them driving through the grass, but they couldn't maneuver around a tree and defaulted to the driveway. We didn't specifically tell them not to drive on the driveway. There were a few very superficial cracks in a few spots prior to them coming, but nothing near what they created. The pool company owner priced out a $6,000 repair and offered to pay half. I'm questioning if this is reasonable and if they should be paying the entire thing, as I'm finding online that most driveways are not built to withstand the weight of a concrete truck. I'm also getting other quotes to compare.
