Is $8,100 to install tile in basement bathroom, basement nook, and master bathroom accent wall a fair price?
Project Details
I am based in the Chicagoland area. I was quoted $6,300 for labor and raw materials for 180 sqft of tile work, which I thought seemed high as it didn't include the cost of the tile itself, bringing the total to $8,100. This breaks down to $45/sqft for everything or $35/sqft for labor/raw materials only. I'm not looking to find the lowest number, but I also don't want to get gouged. I'm in the trades myself and understand the concept of "you get what you pay for," but my gut is giving me a sense of doubt about this price.
