Is $2,300 to sister a cracked floor joist a fair price?

Project Details

I am currently getting foundation wall supports (power braces) installed. During this process, the installers discovered a cracked floor joist, which was likely damaged by a previous foundation repair done by the previous owner 25-30 years ago. This particular joist is where they are putting a new power brace. I am considering trying to DIY the sistering of the joist, but I see two potential issues preventing a full span: a water line runs alongside the joist on one side, and on the other side, there's an overlap with another 2x10 joist. My ideas for DIY include spanning the distance as far as possible and butt it up against the other joist with some blocking, or possibly running two smaller 2x10s for about 8 feet each on either side.
