Is $2,600 to fit concrete lintels below kitchen floor a fair price?
Project Details
My Edwardian house in the UK recently had a new kitchen and floor installed. 70% of the floor is fine, but there is an area where the tiles seem to have movement, and 2 have cracked, and all joints are blown. I am struggling to afford the quoted price. I was thinking of sistering all the floorboards together in the crawl space below and am looking for advice on how to fix it myself, potentially needing to offer some form of support. I am also asking if sistering involves fixing wood directly to existing beams.
