Is $2,000 to remove brick fireplace and replace with drywall a fair price?
Project Details
I just closed on a house and I am looking into having the brick fireplace removed and replaced with just drywall. It is wood burning only, no gas or electric lines to it. The plan is that the chimney would remain. I am concerned because the contractor did not mention permits or structural engineering.
