Is $5,000 to knock down brick chimney to the roof and install a metal prefab chimney a fair price?
Project Details
The only thing using the chimney is the water heater. The water heater is 13 years old and will probably need to be replaced soon. I have a forced air furnace, replaced in 2022. There is no fireplace, it is for water heater exhaust only. Chimney is in the middle of the house and not structural.
