Is $25,000 to exterior sealing of the front basement wall a fair price?
Project Details
My house was built in the 50s, and the basement was half finished in the 80s. When I moved in, there was a black mold spot and minor other spots near the floor at the front. I started converting a fruit cellar into a half bath after installing half of an external French drain in the front. While it was dry in summer and spring, this fall the bottom corner of my bathroom drywall turned wet. I assume the problem is minor but needs to be addressed. I'm hesitant about external solutions because I think my problem is minor, and I'd rather finish the bathroom I started.
