Is $6,800 to convert two garage doors to one with a new motor a fair price?

Project Details

I am potentially exploring replacing my two separate garage doors, which are separated by a non-load bearing column, into one single garage door. My current doors are cheap, have no insulation, let in light, and one is dented. Only one of them currently has a motor. My garage is west-facing in Texas, so I'm wondering if the insulation will make a difference. I'm also asking if the 9R insulation is worth it compared to 6R, and for general thoughts on converting from two doors to one.
