Is $300 to install 360 sqft of drywall with furring strips and level 4 finish a fair price?

Project Details

I do handyman work for two specific landlords in my neighborhood (Bridgeport/Chinatown). One of my clients needs their basement ceiling done, 360sqft. I try to stay away from drywall work because I hate it and am less experienced, so it takes me longer. I use Homewyse to figure out my rates and usually go slightly below that price.

Quote Details

Third-party quote provided to the landlord for basement ceiling work. - Install furring strips to level and clear water, conduit, and gas lines - Install 1/2 inch drywall (material already on site) - Tape and mud to a Level 4 finish - Approximately $0.75 per square foot
