Is $8,000 to paint kitchen cabinets with Benjamin Moore Command a fair price?

I'm renovating my kitchen and want to keep the cabinets. It's a large kitchen and the cabinets are American Cherry custom wood shaker style and in pretty good shape. However, some areas are sun bleached and we're adding a little carpentry so they need to be painted. I've met with a few contractors who all advertise that they specialize in cabinetry painting. My question is will the 2K paint finishes really make that big of a difference? It's a pretty big jump in price. I'm sure part of the difference is labor and experience with 2K? I haven't asked the cheaper guy to price the job with a 2K paint as he said earlier that Command is pretty much the only thing they use. We're doing a large renovation and so finding savings here and there is helpful. But I also don't want buyer's remorse wishing I had paid for the 2K a couple years from now.
