Is $2,000 to replace drains and valves for two tubs and a kitchen faucet a fair price?
Project Details
I think this estimate seems too high, especially the $525 to just replace a kitchen faucet. I haven't had major plumbing work done in a long time, so I'm unsure about current prices. I'm also wondering if inspection panels should be put up instead of replacing drywall. I am having a hard time paying that much for the kitchen faucet as I believe a non-plumber should be able to handle that. For the valves and drains, the one temperature valve on the shower has a corroded knob that spins freely. For the broken trip lever, I have to hold it down for the tub to drain. I questioned them about just replacing the trip lever assembly, but they said the entire unit needs to be replaced, and I'm not sure how accurate that is. I am out of state, so I can't do any of the repairs myself.
