Is $3,460 to install a Water Station 7 Stage (alkaline drinking water) a fair price?
Project Details
We have terrible water. It is extremely hard and since moving in, things have started to corrode and calcify. A test shows a hardness of 15, iron of 0.44, and a pH of 8. We received a quote for a few different things to help with this, but everything seems really high. I'm wondering if the WHCCF (Whole Home Chlorine/Chloramine Filter) is a whole house water filter. I was told that the CS conditioning unit is a softener and takes salt like any normal softener, and I'm unsure why they would sell me this instead of a regular softener. We have 5 to 6 people living in the house depending on the time of year. The old softener is at least 25 years old and leaks.
