Is $2,000 to hydro-jet the laundry drain line a fair price?
Project Details
I had a plumber snake the drain, but he didn't charge me after pulling out roots. The drain, which handles all my laundry water, backs up and overflows after a single load. I'm looking to get a camera into the pipe to prove the damage for my home insurance company, but it needs to be cleaned out first. The pipe is not accessible via a toilet, only through the slop sink. I can maintain the bill for paying someone to grind out the roots if needed. My insurance covers crack/repair but requires a camera inspection to show the extent of damages and a professional repair estimate.
Quote Details
This option involves hydro-jetting the drain line from the slop sink to the dry well to clear root penetration and clogs. This is intended to clean the line sufficiently to allow for a camera inspection.
