Is $1,884 to install a new sink and under-sink plumbing a fair price?

I received an estimate this morning from a plumber to install a new sink. The total cost seems on the high side. I called Home Depot, and they said they could do everything but the under-sink plumbing for $249. I would prefer to have everything done in one trip, but I'm considering having Home Depot do the sink installation and then bringing in a plumber for only the under-sink plumbing to save money. I was told the work would take 4 hours. The plumbing company is family-owned, has been in business for 30 years, is licensed and insured, and is listed with the Better Business Bureau. I may call another plumber for another estimate.
