Is $1,000 to replace a kitchen sink and faucet a fair price?

I'd like to replace my kitchen sink and faucet because they're old, and mold is forming in the faucet's sprayer, which makes me think it could also be forming in the faucet itself. My house is 37 years old, and I believe this is the original sink and faucet. I have a filtration system, but seeing the mold makes me concerned about cooking and consuming moldy water. I'm looking for quotes to get the entire thing replaced and want to ensure I'm not being taken advantage of.
