Is $2,000 to replace a pool pump a fair price?
Project Details
My pool pump stopped working, and there is no display or sound coming from it at all. I've confirmed that the pump is receiving electricity. The display unit on the top alone is estimated to cost between $500 to $700 per part, which makes me think I may as well buy a whole new pump. My current pump is a Sta-Rite Supermax VS 1.5 (which I initially mistyped as Pentagram, then corrected to Pentair/Sta-Rite). I'm looking for advice on whether there's a capacitor or something else I could try to fix it first.
