Is $12,000 to resurface pool patio with rubberized/poly overlay a fair price?

I have 4 younger children so I would like to go with something rubberized/poly based to minimize injuries this year. I'm a pretty able bodied person and I know I can do it much cheaper myself, just don't know what kits would be the best.
