Is $70 to replace pool incandescent bulb with LED color changing lamp a fair price?
Project Details
I'm a first-time pool owner. For the last 3 years, I paid a company to clean and add chemicals. After having our 4th child 6 months ago, I decided to stop paying and let my pool turn into a swamp. My pool light was out since I purchased the house and had been quoted $900 to replace it. Four weeks ago, I decided to learn to clean and maintain my pool. While cleaning my DE filter, I noticed a GFI behind the filter housing that was tripped. I reset it, checked that it worked, and continued cleaning to get the pool back to clear and swimmable. Two weeks later, the pool was looking good. The next step was to repair the light. I was searching on marketplace and almost purchased a few lights for good prices but didn pull the trigger. Out of curiosity, I tried messing with the light, took it out of the pool, and flipped the switch, and it turned on! I'm happy about that. I'm replacing a Pentair 120V 500W bulb with this new LED.
