The pool deck slab is approximately 40 years old and 8 inches thick. There are voids underneath where the subgrade has washed out or settled. Previous owners used rubber pavers which trapped moisture and accelerated deterioration. The homeowner has a wooded hillside where they can dispose of old concrete for erosion control.
