Is $3,000 to convert pool system to eliminate backwash option a fair price?
Project Details
I have a 25+ year old plaster pool. My neighbor is accusing me of killing his tree with my backwashed pool water, claiming its root system extends onto my property. He refuses to provide proof from an arborist report. The previous owners were advised to remove the tree. My neighbor has escalated the situation, including posting a slandering sign and calling the police. I have a large oak tree closer to the drainage area that is unaffected. The pool water is not saltwater. I am hesitant to make changes to my working system without proof of damage, but my neighbor wants me to extend the backwash hose further onto my property. My property is on septic.
