Is $400 to replace with a single-speed pool pump a fair price?

Project Details

I currently have a Hayward 1.5 HP single speed pump running 10 hours a day on a 30,000 gallon SWG pool for 4 months of the year in NJ. I used these parameters in the Pentair savings calculator. I'm looking for real-world experience on savings and break-even, and also considering durability with similar parameters. I'm wondering about the longevity of these pumps, as a break-even period might be around 4 years. I've heard of issues like 2 pump replacements in 3 years and am curious if warranties cover labor.

Quote Details

This quote is for the replacement of a single-speed pool pump. The cost is for the pump only, excluding labor. Based on calculations, a single-speed pump is estimated to incur a yearly energy cost of $400 and consume 620 kWh annually.
